The Trafalgar Cricket Club competes in the Warragul District Cricket Association and currently fields a First XI, Second XI and Third XI. The club also fields junior teams at under 17, under 15 and under 13 level, as well as an entry level program for boys and girls aged five to 10.
The cricket season runs from October to March in the Australian Summer.
Senior training sessions are held Tuesdays and Thursdays at Trafalgar Recreation Reserve from 5.30pm.
Junior players are welcome to integrate with senior players if they wish.
Information on junior training sessions will be communicated by the relevant coach before each season.
The club has two practice nets and a portable net that can be taken out to the main centre synthetic wicket.
Players also have access to a JUGS bowling machine and all regular fielding equipment to facilitate their training sessions.
Playing arrangements are as follows:
First XI
Play: Saturdays and some Sundays.
Start time: 12pm
Formats: Two day (80 overs compulsory close), one day (40 overs).
Second XI
Play: Saturdays (occasional Sunday game.
Start time: 12.30pm.
Formats: Two day (70 overs compulsory close), one day (40 overs per innings).
Third XI:
Play: Saturdays.
Start time: 12.30pm.
Format: One day, 35 overs per innings.
All senior teams play finals. Top four teams in the competition qualify for finals.
Junior matches are scheduled as follows:
Under 13: Wednesday evenings
Under 15: Monday evenings
Under 17: Either Friday evenings or Sunday mornings
Dinner is available every Thursday after senior training in the clubrooms. All members and supporters are more than welcome to attend.
